Wellbeing By Design: Womens Vitality Retreat

Designed as a wellness sanctuary for dynamic women wearing multiple hats on a daily basis, this retreat focuses on getting ample sleep and rest. We will also use design thinking to craft lives of clarity, vitality and longevity; cultivate our intuition to shift into a mindset of ease, surrender and flow; and explore play, gratitude, movement, nature and art, as therapeutic practices.

Morning movement, daily beach or rainforest excursions, one massage service, individual coaching sessions, art supplies, and all meals, snacks and beverages lovingly prepared by Chef Ivon, are included. All dietary preferences—gluten-free, dairy-free, sugar-free, vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, keto, or paleo—are accommodated on an individual basis.

Nestled in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico, an uncharted Blue Zone at the tip of the Bermuda triangla, Casa Alternavida is a women’s wellness sanctuary. The strong matriarchy here forms a womb of wellbeing that holds boundaries around the foundations of health. About our Guest Facilitator:

Megan Mazzocco is a WELL Accredited Professional and Certified Yoga Instructor. She has 14 years’ experience in the fashion, paper and design industries focusing on sustainable systems and wellbeing. In 2019 she founded yogaXdesign to teach movement, mindset and sleep to architects and designers to sustain creativity-on-demand. She also offers Wellbeing by Design: Virtual Women’s Vitality Circle to empower women to take agency over their health outcomes.

Megan is author of The A+D Wellness Toolkit & The Sleep System: 28 Days to Better Sleep. Megan is the Sustainability and Wellbeing Director at Spring Architecture in Westport, Conn. In addition to CEUs, consulting and media projects, Megan is a renowned speaker at several national and regional design and planning conferences including NeoCon, KBIS, Green Umbrella and Smart Cities Expo Miami.
